Fire Location Queensland is an application that uses data sourced from Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) providing incident information and the location of vegetation fires in the State of Queensland Australia. A geolocation feature allows the user to determine the distance of a vegetation fire in relation to their position.

Features:

• Vegetation fires display as an Alert level icon on a map. Pressing on the icon displays the Address, Distance from the users approximate location, Alert level, Status, Date/Time reported-updated and Details.

• The user can see a list of the vegetation fires in Queensland displayed by the closest fire to the users current location first.

• Users can share details of a fire via Text message, Email, Twitter, Facebook etc.

• Displays current registered Permit to Burns on a map with details.

• Search function: Type in an address to zoom to that location.

• Current location: App Zooms into your approximate location utilising the GPS of the iPhone.

• Info: Details about Alert levels and other information.

• Settings: The user can change the map to Standard, Satellite or Hybrid.

This information is extracted from the Queensland Emergency Services Computer Aided Dispatch (ESCAD) database. It is not real time information, but is provided as a general indication of current activity. Incident information is updated every 5 minutes. The symbols represent the general area of the fire, not its current location or spread.

Although every care is taken to ensure that all information on this web site is accurate and up to date, QFES cannot accept any responsibility for mistakes or omissions.

During outages of the QFES Bushfire Incident Website, members of the public should refer to their ABC Local Radio station for bushfire information and updates.
